As the preseason of the NFL continues several other players have decided to take a knee during the national anthem or by grabbing a shoulder of one of their teammates kneeling.

Last week Michael Bennett spoke out about if a white player were to get involved and said, “it would change the whole conversation.”

BET reports that this week Chris Long of the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks center Justin Britt were some of the first white NFL players to join in the protest. Several other white players from the Oakland Raiders wrapped their arms around black teammates in solidarity.

For one player though this is hitting more close to home because his wife is black. Cleveland Browns Seth DeValve said, “We took the opportunity to pray for our country and for the men and women in this country during that time. I myself will be raising children that don’t look like me, and I want to do my part as well to do everything I can to raise them in a better environment than we have right now.”

As the NFL season approaches do you think more white players will take a knee?
