Heyer’s mother, Susan Bro during an interview with Robin Roberts for “Good Morning America” spoke about Trump and the reason she doesn’t feel the need to speak with him.

Bro said, “I’m not talking to the President now. I’m sorry. After what he said about my child, and it’s not that I saw somebody else’s tweets about him. I saw an actual clip of him at a press conference equating the protesters like Ms. (Heather) Heyer with the KKK and the white supremacists.”

Bro mentioned that she received a phone call from him while the funeral was going on. She had the opportunity to watch the news and after hearing what Trump said her position changed.

She said, “You can’t wash this one away by shaking my hand and saying I’m sorry.” Bro also mentioned that Trump needs to think before he spoke.
