A memorial service for Heather Heyer will take place this morning at 11 a.m. at Charlottesville’s Paramount Theater. The 32-year-old was killed after a car rammed into her as well as a crowd of people who were protesting white nationalist and neo-Nazis this past weekend. Heyer worked as a paralegal and loved to help people.

According to ABC News, Heyer was known as being a person that fought for rights of others and very outspoken. Her mother said, “She had very strong beliefs, and even as a small child she was fierce about defending her beliefs.”
