The 34-year-old is now tied in second place with Chris Evert for the most Grand Slam wins and is only seven matches away from beating Martina Navratilova out of the top spot.
The number one player in the world is currently vying for her seventh Wimbledon title and will next face the number 21 seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the tourney’s quarterfinals.
