Trey Songz  is paying tribute to the late music icon David Bowie, with a breathtaking remake of “Life On Mars?” from his classic 1971 album Hunky Dory. The cover will be featured in the upcoming episode of HBO’s new musical series, Vinyl. Trigga was approached by HBO producers about doing a rendition of the ballad last summer prior to Bowie’s passing, and the track now has a extra-special meaning to him. Did Trey do the song justice? B.o.B just dropped the visuals for his track “Excuse Me.” With a graceful ballerina at the forefront of the screen, real life events depicting violence, political unrest and media mind control help bring B.o.B.’s spoken word to life. [Rap Radar]

British Radio host Tim Westwood just released a never-before-heard freestyle track by the Fugees recorded 20 years ago. In the clip Lauryn Hill opens up by absolutely spazzing over the “How Many Mics” beat, and passes the mic over to Wyclef Jean and Pras who go back-and-forth in a mini cypher. Some of the lyrics sound familiar from previously released songs. [Rap-Up]

After just being featured on the bass-heavy new Baauer single, “Temple”, M.IA is back like she never left with another fire track, “MIA OLA-FOREIGN FRIEND.” This banger is serving major dancehall vibes and puts a clever spin on the anthem from Disney’s The Lion King. [Okay Player]
