Boss – Rapper Boss Looking For Kidney Donor
Female rapper Boss is urging fans to help find her a potential donor after revealing she needs a kidney transplant.
The hip-hop star – real name Lichelle Laws – suffers from renal disease, a condition which prevents the kidneys from filtering waste products from the bloody.
She is currently undergoing regular dialysis sessions, but is now hoping to find a donor through social networking sites.
Laws’ pals have launched a campaign, entitled Rappers Need Kidneys, Too on Facebook.com, urging any potential donor matches to come forward.
Laws shot to fame in 1993 after Russell Simmons signed her to his Def Jam label, and she released a well-received album Born Gangstaz. Her rap career was short lived after it emerged she grew up in a wealthy, middle-class family.
