Ava DuVernay’s I Will Follow, one of the most critically claimed independent African-American films to have been released in years, has just received another salutation.  Film critic Roger Ebert, in a glowing review, called it “…one of the best films I’ve seen about the loss of a loved one.”

DuVernay, one of the co-founders of HelloBeautiful.com, is also the founder of the African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement (AFFRM), a new theatrical distribution entity powered by the nation’s finest black film festival organizations. The collective will theatrically release quality independent African-American films through simultaneous limited engagements in select cities.

I Will Follow will be AFFRM’s first release, hitting theaters on Friday March 11 in:

Los Angeles

Atlanta

Seattle

Philadelphia
