Lil Durk Faces Wrongful Death Lawsuit in Connection to Murder of Quando Rondo’s Cousin

Rapper Lil Durk is facing serious legal challenges as he is hit with a wrongful death lawsuit related to the fatal shooting of Saviay’a Robinson, known as Lil PAB, the cousin of rapper Quando Rondo.

The tragic incident occurred in Los Angeles on August 19, 2022, and has led to growing tensions and a complicated legal battle for Durk.

The lawsuit, filed by Robinson’s mother, Andrea Laquila Robinson, in Cook County Court, seeks to hold Durk, his business manager, his record label Only the Family (OTF), and a related company responsible for her son’s death.

According to the lawsuit, Robinson was tragically killed during an apparent attempt on the life of his cousin, Quando Rondo.

The shooting took place near the Beverly Center in West Hollywood while Robinson and Rondo were driving together.

Gunmen ambushed the vehicle, firing several shots into the passenger side, fatally wounding Robinson.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

The legal filing, which claims unlawful acts, including murder-for-hire, points the blame at Durk for orchestrating the hit.

The lawsuit alleges that Durk was acting in retaliation for the 2020 murder of King Von, a close associate of Durk and a fellow member of OTF.

Prosecutors believe that Durk may have been involved in the plot as part of a broader pattern of retaliation following the death of his affiliate.

This lawsuit is not the only legal matter currently affecting Lil Durk.

In connection to the same shooting incident, he is facing criminal charges, including murder-for-hire.

Durk’s name has been linked to the death of Robinson, and prosecutors believe he played a role in orchestrating the crime.

The charge stems from Durk’s apparent desire for vengeance after King Von’s killing in 2020.

The rapper’s trial for these charges has been set for October 14, 2025, as he faces the looming possibility of a significant prison sentence if convicted.

As of now, Lil Durk is in custody, having been denied bond in December 2024.

The judge ruled that Durk posed a danger to the community and a flight risk, despite his legal team offering a substantial bond package.

This package included a $2.3 million property bond and $1 million cash from Sony Music, but the judge remained unconvinced.

The charges against Durk do not only pertain to Robinson’s death but also include accusations of him funding multiple murder-for-hire plots, further complicating his legal situation.

Prosecutors have tied him to the slaying of alleged Gangster Disciples leader Stephon Mack and believe he may have funded additional hits on rival gang members.

The wrongful death lawsuit, filed by Robinson’s family, is not only seeking justice for the loss of their loved one but also aims to hold those responsible accountable.

Robinson’s attorney, Warren Postman, emphasized the devastating effect the premature loss has had on the family and their community.

In his statement, Postman stated,

“We filed this lawsuit to hold those responsible accountable and to ensure his family receives the support they need during this difficult time.”
