The divorce between Pilar Sanders and Deion Sanders has been going on for quite some time. According to Madam Noire, in 2014 Deion sued Pilar for defamation of character. Pilar had claimed that Deion was not only physically abusive, but had also threatened to kill her.

He sued for defamation and in 2015 she was forced to pay him $2.2 million. Today it was reported that a panel of judges believed Deion didn’t provide enough evidence that his ex was intentionally trying to harm him. Pilar said, “Sooner or later the truth comes out. Never stop fighting for what you believe to be true…Don’t give up on what’s right and what’s true.”
For years Pilar believed that the ruling was unfair. She said, “At the district court level, a lot of biased rulings had taken place. I knew that if I could get my case outside that courtroom, they’d see the truth of the matter, and justice would prevail as it did.” The couple was married for 15 years and had three children together. Pilar is happy to move passed this.
