Mayor Karen Weaver of Flint, Michigan has had her fair share of issues in Flint and she continues to fight the battle. There still isn’t clean water in Flint and so when Weaver saw what was happening in San Juan and how Trump addressed the issues she wrote a letter to Mayor Carmen Yulío Cruz.

According to Huffington Post she wrote a supportive letter and encouraged her and the citizens of Puerto Rico to keep fighting. Trump recently visited there to look at the hurricane damage, but while there he criticized the mayor and told them that Hurricane Maria didn’t cause a catastrophe.
In the letter Weaver spoke about how her and Cruz were in a sisterhood and shared her struggles in Flint. She also talked about how disgusted she was about the lack of help they are getting in Puerto Rico and how the administration should do more. We love to see this kind of support and hope both of these mayors get the help they need.
