ESPN reported that James, his business partner as well as his financial adviser put $1 million into the chain restaurant Blaze Pizza and now they’ve turned it into $25 million.
Although James only owns 10 percent of the chain restaurant between future endorsements and sales the business will soon be worth up to $40 million.
Maverick Carter said, “LeBron and I have always been about finding companies that we truly believe in and putting real money into them. We’re not talking putting in $15,000 or $20,000. It’s real money plus the expertise, understanding and knowledge that we bring, as well as bringing LeBron’s name and likeness to the product.”
In 2015 James left McDonald’s to become a Blaze Pizza spokesman and immediately it became more successful because of his following.
Nearly 200 stores have been created over the past four years and is becoming the fastest growing chain in North American food history.
By 2022 they are hoping that over 1,000 stores will be opened.
