According to ESPN the point guard asked the team to trade him.

Irving no longer wants to play along with James and wants to go somewhere that he can be the focal point.

He wants to go to the New York Knicks, Miami Heat or the Minnesota Timberwolves, but as of Friday the Knicks didn’t want to include Kristaps Porzingis in the deal.

His agent Jeff Wechsler said, “Kyrie and I had a meeting with Cavs leadership where we discussed many different scenarios in reference to Kyrie and his future with the team. The basis of those discussions and what went on in those discussions are between the Cavs and us. We are respectfully going to keep those private.”

Some sources say that the Cavaliers do not agree with Irving’s request and could possibly affect his trade value.

Irving has been with the Cavaliers since being No.1 overall pick in 2011.
