Okay, “Empire” fans it’s not much, but it’s something. You’ll have to wait until September 23 to find out what goes down on the “Empire” this season but Fox released a sneak peak today.

In the clip, you’ll see Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) who you remember were embroiled in a bunch of drama as the first season ended – the kind of drama that left Lucious in jail. So the #FreeLucious movement begins, apparently and it looks like we’ll see a side of Jamal (Jussie Smollett) we haven’t seen before as he takes the reins of the label. As far as Hakeem, (Bryshere Grey) well, it looks like we’ve see that arrogant, egotistical side before while bipolar brother Andre has apparently recovered enough to renew his own ambitions to lead the company.
The trailer also introduces Marisa Tomei as a wealthy venture capitalist and guest star Chris Rock but no sign yet of the rest of the star-studded cast this year that includes Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Tyrese and Mariah Carey.
“Empire” begins its 18-episode second season on September 23 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
