Sticking true to her sound, No Sleep sounds like Janet circa Anytime, Anyplace and Damita Jo. It’s true R&B vibe sets it apart from the watered down R&B we often heard on the radio and we’re so here for it.
Produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, No Sound begins with sultry elements as it transitions into a funky, peaceful beat. Janet tweeted a link to the song, dedicating it to her “love” using the hashtag #conversationsinacafe. Could she be hinting at the title of her forthcoming disc?
