3. Sanaa Lathan
Sanaa Lathan received two NAACP Image Award nominations in 2025 for her roles in The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat (2024) and Young. Wild. Free. (2023). She is set to star in and executive produce the upcoming drama series Miss Cleo and has previously starred in Nappily Ever After, earned an Emmy nomination for Succession, and directed On the Come Up (2022). Lathan has also shared that she stopped drinking alcohol three years ago.

As of March 2024, Omar Epps is represented by Independent Artist Group and stars in Power Book III: Raising Kanan. Known for his roles in House, Shooter, This Is Us, and Resurrection, he has won three NAACP Image Awards. Epps has been married to Keisha Spivey since 2006, and they share three children. He is also a writer, co-authoring Nubia: The Reckoning, a dystopian novel exploring social justice, which he wishes had existed during his childhood.

Alfre Woodard has several upcoming projects, including roles in Apple TV+’s The Last Frontier and Netflix’s The Boroughs, as well as producing a miniseries about civil rights leader Fannie Lou Hamer. Monica Calhoun, known for her role as Mia Morgan in The Best Man franchise, recently appeared in The Best Man: The Final Chapters and the series Safe Space. Beyond acting, she is involved in philanthropy, using her platform to support cancer and sickle cell awareness. She has also hinted at the possibility of a third Best Man film.

Recently, he starred in and executive produced American Smuggler, appeared in the thriller Send Help, and featured in the Hallmark+ series Holidazed. Haysbert is also recognized for his narration work, including the 2024 Tabernacle Choir Christmas concerts, and his role as a spokesperson for Allstate Home & Auto Insurance.
