Anthony Brown is an established standup comedian who is heard daily on “The Tom Joyner Morning Show.” He brings his seasoned comedic skills to “The Rickey Smiley Show” as Rickey Smiley’s TV boss Maurice. Ray J may be best known for his music and other activities, but he has appeared on several sitcoms and is refreshingly funny as Rickey’s producer Kenny. Another standup comic on the cast is Lil’ JJ, who became famous as a teen for winning a BET comedy talent search at the age of 13. On “The Rickey Smiley Show,” Lil’ JJ is enjoyable as Rickey’s eldest child Brandon. Veteran sitcom actress Roz Ryan maintains her comedic reputation as Aunt Sylvia on the show, and the other cast members all do a great job delivering the funny with their comedian cast members. Even though some of the cast members aren’t established comics, they are funnier than you would expect.
