Last week, Jill Scott found herself on the bad side of Tamar Braxton and Towanda Braxton after she professed her support of Mary Mary’s WeTV reality series on Twitter. Jill wrote, “Please watch Mary Mary on WE tv. Finally a real representation. Yay!!!!!!!!!” In response, “Of freakin what?” and Towanda chimed in to a follower, writing, “suga….opinions we can handle but black shade against black shade I can not!!”
Scott noted, “Just because I love oranges doesn’t mean I HATE apples.”
In other words, while Jill wasn’t directly throwing shade at the Braxton family, two of the Braxtons practically proved whatever point they assumed she was making about them indirectly.
Meanwhile, speaking to Singersroom, Tina and Erica of Mary Mary spoke on the matter, with Erica saying, “People are always gonna express their opinions…I really have no response for someone getting upset at someone else’s opinion…I’m just happy that Jill likes the show and she thought it was good.”
Tina added, “And I’m happy that Tamar is following our tweets, watching our show… otherwise, she wouldn’t know all the comments that are happening in Jill’s timeline, so that’s a good thing.”
Gospel shade.
