Black women were well-represented at the Oscars last night thanks to The Help cast mates and critically-acclaimed actresses Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis and their nominations for Academy Awards. Octavia Spencer walked away with an award in the Best Supporting Actress category, but Viola Davis lost in the Best Actress category to Meryl Streep.
