As Cross closes in on the killer, he discovers evidence that points to the unimaginable—a revelation that could change everything. With unstoppable action, and unforeseeable twists, this suspenseful action thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat.”
Morgan Freeman previously played the brilliant detective in Kiss The Girls (1997) and Along Came a Spider (2001). Last summer, actor Idris Elba and director David Twohy (Pitch Black) were attached to revive the Alex Cross franchise, but due to creative differences with Paramount Studios Twohy opted out of the project, and Elba followed soon after. QED International bought the rights in early 2011, hired Rob Cohen (XXX) as the new director and cast Perry in the title role. But all’s well that ends well; Twohy is re-teaming with Vin Diesel for a third Riddick movie, and Elba has his plate full with the second season of “LUTHER”, a featured role in this spring’s blockbuster Thor, and is currently filming Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel Prometheus. Elba has also been cast as the lead in Guillermo Del Toro’s sci-fi flick Pacific Rim .
I, Alex Cross starts filming in Cleveland, OH this August and is slated for a 2012 release.
