BET’s Black Girls Rock Honor African-American Queens
New York (Examiner)– Hearts soared as audiences embraced the television tribute executive produced by Beverly Bond a Dj and a model. This production is the brainchild of Bond and Bet Networks with B.G.R enterprises inc.
“Black Girls Rock”, personifies the hopes and dreams we hold in our hearts for little black girls. Airing Sunday at 8pm, the show celebrated icons such as Ruby Dee, Raven Simone, Missy Elliot, Kee Kee Palmer, Iyanla Vanzant, Teresa Clarke and Major General Marcelite Harris.
Nia Long hosted the show that focused on the global affluence of African American women. The night included performances by Estelle, Ciara, Malinda Williams, Shotelle, Lynn Whitfield, Keri Hilson, VV Brown, Monica Keshia Cole and Fantasia and many more.
