Kanye West Disappointed With Grammy’s Best New Artist Winner
Even when Kanye West tells himself to be quiet, he says more than he needs to. Last night during the Grammy Awards, Kanye West expressed disappointment via Twitter at the naming of 26-year-old jazz bass prodigy Esperanza Spalding as the Best New Artist. Spalding beat out Drake and Justin Bieber for the award.
“Damn,” Kanye tweeted. “I can’t find the words to explain how I feel about the best new artist award… Don’t wanna say the wrong thing.”
Too late Yeezy.
We were glad to see someone with beauty, brains (she began teaching at the Berklee School of Music at age 20), and undeniable talent win such a prestigious award.
It was one of the few things the Grammy Awards got right last night.
