D'Angelo, Lenny Kravitz to Headline 2025 Roots Picnic

Philadelphia is gearing up for one of its most iconic music events as Live Nation announces the return of the Roots Picnic for 2025. Scheduled to take over the Mann Center in Fairmount Park on May 31 and June 1, the festival promises an impressive lineup and a celebration of music’s unifying power.

Neo Soul legend D’Angelo will headline the event, performing alongside the legendary Roots, Philly’s own Meek Mill, and Lenny Kravitz. Miguel, Tems, GloRilla, Latto, Kaytranada, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, and Jeezy are also slated to perform.

Aalbum’s anniversaries will be celebrated when singer Musiq Soulchild celebrates 25 years of his debut album “Aijuswanaseing” and The Roots highlight 30 years of their groundbreaking LP “Do You Want More”

The Roots Picnic will also have attractions like Trap Karaoke and a special performance Go-Go set from the Backyard Band featuring CeeLo Green to add to the event’s diverse lineup.

Tickets for the 2025 event are available soon, with pre-sales beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. and general sales starting Friday at the same time. Given the festival’s history of sellout crowds, attendees are encouraged to act quickly to secure their spot. Organizers have also teased additional performer announcements, keeping excitement high in the lead-up to the festival.
