In August defensive end for the Seattle Seahawks Michael Bennett became terrified after being encountered by the Las Vegas Metro police.

According to The Root, he plans on suing the department because of the incident, which he believes happened because he is black.
Bennett said, “It felt like a movie almost because everything was happening so fast. People were, like, running; people were scared because nobody knew what was going on.”
Bennett mentioned that no one saw a gun but people began running. He said, “We saw police, we saw SWAT and everybody’s on the ground crawling, and people are asking, ‘What are we going to do? What are we going to do?’ so we started trying to get away.”
Once he went outside he was approached by two police officers and believes they came after him because he was black. The officers made him get on the ground and he was scared to move because there were guns drawn.
When he told the officers who he was the officer said, “shut the f*** up before I blow your head off. The officers Googled him and then that was it. Bennett spoke about how he will never forget what happened and plans on suing the police department. We will keep you updated on what happens.
