According to Okay Player, Kaepernick just received the Community MVP award for week 1 by the NFL Players Association.
A $10,000 contribution will be donated to Kaepernick’s foundation or the charity he chooses.
Not only does this happen, but he could possibly win the Byron Whizzer White Award, which is the highest honor that the NFLPA gives a player.
The Community MVP award is given out each week and even though Kaepernick isn’t signed to a team the NFLPA believed he deserved this award.
