Hispanic actress Lela Loren plays the character ‘Angela Valdez,’ in the show she is the ex-girlfriend of ‘Ghost’ played by Omari Hardwick.
Valdez arrested Ghost and is trying to take him down for the murder of a district attorney.
Fans believe she is the enemy and have taken their hate for her to the ultimate level.
According to Latin Times, fans of the show have not only been bashing her on social media, but also have sent her threats in the past.
Many though are coming to defend her.
Loren said, “For those of you who seem unable to separate storytelling from reality-there’s help for that. Go get it.”
In a Page Six interview she mentioned, “For me, it is not so much if people hate my character, it’s when I get threats on my own personal life. It is just awful.”
We hope the online trolling stops and people can enjoy the show without wanting to hurt the actress in real life.
