Ken Bone, the man in the snuggy red sweater who asked an energy-related question during the second presidential debate, has some views that probably don’t jibe well with those who have supported him.

The New York Daily News reports that the 34-year-old from Missouri claimed on an “Ask Me Anything” Reddit thread that Trayvon Martin’s shooting death “was justified” about four months ago.

“From what I read about the case, the shooting of Trayvon Martin was justified, but what I’ve learned of Zimmerman, from statements, interview [sic], and behavior, he is a big ole s—t bird,” he wrote.

Martin is the 17-year-old who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida, for no reason other than the fact that he was a black kid in a hoodie. Zimmerman was not charged in the senseless death, sparking the Black Lives Matter movement, which continues to this day.

After one of the most contentious and bizarre presidential debates in the history of the country, Bone emerged as a social media darling and top contender for Halloween costumes. In the last few days, Bone had been shouted out by Snoop Dogg, who invited him to hang out and smoke (we assume because of the “Bone” name), appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and signed some sort of deal pitch deal with Uber.

With this new news, we don’t know how long Ken Bone will remain en vogue, but we should have known that anyone who still considered voting for Donald Trump this late in the game can’t be that bright.
