Marion Barry’s Son Dies At The Age Of 36
Marion Christopher Barry, whose father was the late D.C. Mayor Marion Barry, has died of an apparent drug overdose, reports the Washington Post.

The 36-year-old former candidate for D.C.s Ward 8 council seat was reportedly discovered by his girlfriend, was transported to George Washington University Hospital, writes the news outlet:
Barry had struggled with drug use. He ran unsuccessfully for the Ward 8 council seat last year after his father died.

Reached by phone on Sunday morning, Cora Masters Barry, widow of Marion Barry, said she was not prepared to talk about the younger Barry’s death. “It is very difficult for me right now,” she said.
