On Monday, 23-year-old Korryn Gaines was shot and killed by police, in front of her five-year-old, at her apartment in Baltimore. The police were there to serve her a warrant for a low-level offense, but when she barricaded herself in her apartment with her child and a shot gun, an hours-long stand-off between her and the police ended in tragedy.
The death of the young woman has caused a lot of scrutiny, especially because there is no footage of the encounter, only recounts from the police.
