According to the Miami Herald, Atlanta rapper Ludacris will celebrate the 4th of July at the infamous Guantanamo Bay. Ludacris will perform at the annual Freedom Festival at the Windward Ferry Landing.
Despite what you’re thinking, Luda won’t be performing for any prisoners of war. Instead, he’ll be entertaining military personnel stationed at the U.S. Navy Base.
Plus, chances are imprisoned men who may be members of al-Qaeda don’t want to hear Ludacris rap “move bitch, get out the way.”
Either way, the crowd is excited. “Gitmo hasn’t seen a star with as big a name as Ludacris in several years,” said Navy Chief Monique Hilley.
Ludacris will join a short list of stars like Jimmy Eat World and the Plain White T’s who’ve performed on the Cuban island.
