President Obama Asks J.R. Smith To Put A Shirt On
J.R. Smith has been on cloud nine all week.
Aside from LeBron James, he was the most emotional player on the court Sunday night and gave an amazing speech afterwards.
But since Game 7 it seems like J.R. has opted to walk around without a shirt on. There was that clip of him in a Vegas club pouring champagne on an unsuspecting woman, images of him getting off the team plane upon its landing in Cleveland, and him walking along the parade route. All of that was done without a shirt on.
Now, President Obama has stepped in, asking J.R. to put on a shirt. No, seriously.
Thursday, June 23, Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue spoke to President Obama on the phone, and while congratulating the team on the historic win, he also asked J.R. and company to put on a shirt.
“Tell J.R. and everybody to put on a shirt, though. You can’t just be walking around without a shirt for the last couple days. It’s been like a whole week. You got Shumpert taking off his shirt. You got Kyrie taking off his shirt. C’mon, man,” jokes Obama.
This is just another reminder of how cool our current president is.
