The 57-year-old rocker didn’t plan to take any days off anytime soon as he’s in the midst of his “Piano & A Microphone” tour which began in Melbourn, Australia in February.

Unfortunately, the illness recently got the best of him and he canceled two shows on April 7th. On April 14th, Prince tried again to turn up as if it were “1999” in front of two sold-out crowds in Atlanta.

According to a review of the show by the AJC, ‘The Purple One’ may have snatched so many edges along the way with his three encores and a David Bowie tribute, that he landed himself in the hospital.

Prince was flying above the clouds when according to TMZ, his private jet had to make an emergency landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was reportedly released after three hours.

The LA Times adds that Prince is now continuing his recovery from home. He’s even been tweeting. What’s the cure to making Prince feel better? Listening to Prince music of course!

He subtly tweeted that he was attune to the madness surrounding his hospitalization. He said “#NowPlaying “Controversy” referring to his 1981 hit. Prince also retweeted Funktopia’s review of his Atlanta show which called him “AUDIO PERFECTION”.
