Young Man Discharged From Pre-Marine Program for Assaulting Black Woman at Trump Rally
The world is always watching and in this case, so were the Marines when Joseph Pryor decided that he was going manhandle Shiya Nwanguma, a Black protestor at a Louisville Trump rally earlier this week. While Pryor made his Facebook cover an image from the event boasting the words “Future Marine” on his profile, it’s unknown if he knew how viral the video would become putting his ill behavior in the spotlight. Apparently the US Marines don’t take lightly to that type of foolery and discharged him from the their Delayed Entry Program.
In a statement, they said: Joseph Pryor demonstrated poor judgment in his use of social media that associates him with a racially charged altercation at a political rally. Hatred toward any group of individuals is not tolerated in the Marine Corps and he is being discharged from our delayed entry program effective yesterday. Mediaite
Ben Carson Finally Quits The Presidential Race
While retired neurosurgeon and once GOP presidential front runner Ben Carson has been dropping hints all week that he might end his race for the White House, he finally made it official on Friday. During the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, Carson admitted that he is “leaving the campaign trail.”
This comes as no surprise given how poorly he has performed in the primaries, especially on Super Tuesday, gaining only 3 delegates. “I did the math. I looked at the delegate counts, and I realized it simply wasn’t going to happen, he said. USA Today
Seahawks Player Kam Chancellor Tries to Buy Gym, Gets Cop Called On Him Instead
Earlier this week, Seattle Seahawks Kam Chancellor had the police called on him when he tried to get information about Washington’s Redmond Athletic Club after hours. According to TMZ, who obtained the 911 call made from within the club, a female worker referred to them as “bad news” and said the group, which was made up of 3 African-American and 2 white people, “refused” to leave.
“They’re trying to get in and we’ve told them multiple times they need to leave, she said. At one point, the woman says, “I don’t know if they’re homeless kids … I know there used to be a lot of heroin addicts around here.”
The cops arrived and made no arrests, calling Chancellor a “nice guy.” The Seahawks safety said he was only there to inquire about purchasing the gym. Meanwhile, the owner of the athletic club said that racism was not behind the police being called, that was protocol. In a statement, they wrote:
“We regret this unfortunate incident but completely support the actions of our employees. Our team responded in a manner as instructed by me under the guidance of the Redmond Police Department. We always err on the side of caution when an individual or individuals try to gain entry to the club unannounced. We have recently had attempted break-ins and still have members’ property in the club that we need to protect until returned.” TMZ, ESPN
