“Hit The Quan” Rapper I Heart Memphis Charged In Memphis Gang Rape
The Quan Dance has become the Shmoney Dance of 2015. And unfortunately, just like last summer’s breakout star Bobby Shmurda, “Hit The Quan” rapper I Heart Memphis has found himself in hot water with the law.
Memphis, real name Richard Colbert, is one of two men accused of gang raping a woman (who was under the influence) at a home in the Raleigh neighborhood of Memphis. He was charged with aggravated rape back in May.
When asked if he was guilty, he told Memphis’ WREG over the phone:
“No, I did not. I was at the wrong place, wrong time, and my name got caught up in something.”
Colbert and a second man charged in the case are expected in court on Wednesday. Police are still looking for a third suspect, a female between 18 and 23-years-old, according to WREG.
