Shorty Da Prince just landed the biggest gig of his career. The former “106 and Park” host not only has the No. 1 radio shows on 93.9 WKYS in Washington, D.C and Hot 104.1 in St. Louis, but he just announced he will co-host alongside Ryan Seacrest on FOX’s new show, “Knock Knock Live.”
The show is described as “a next generation LIVE reality TV event” from the creator of “American Idol,” Simon Fuller.
Shorty Da Prince tells EURWeb, the show can’t really be compared to anything else on TV.
“You can’t really compare it to anything because it’s just as random as that,” Shorty told EURWeb. “Celebrities pop up, or we might have a celebrity chef come through and cook something in your kitchen or it might be a game where you have to battle you neighbor for a new set of car keys, or we might be dropping money from a helicopter in your backyard. This is as random as it is crazy.”
The show is definitely a good look for the 25-year-old who keeps climbing the latter of success. But he’s not going to forget where he comes from.
Shorty tells EURWeb, the best career advice he’s received came from our own Rickey Smiley.
“It’s not exactly what you do on air, what’s important is what you do off air,” Rickey told Shorty.
“One thing Rickey Smiley told me was to make sure you are involved with the community,” Shorty said.
Shorty continues to follow Rickey’s advice by spending time in the D.C. schools and staying active in community events like Beat The Streets.
