Local Miami news outlets are reporting that police are investigating a shooting that occurred near Lil Wayne‘s Miami Beach home. Four people were shot, according to Local 10.

It’s not known if Lil Wayne was at the property when the shooting occurred. We’ll update as more news becomes available.

UPDATE: Lil Wayne reportedly wasn’t home at the time of the shooting. TMZ is reporting that today’s (March 11) incident comes 11 days after police spotted a suspicious man outside of the home. He was let go because he was on public property.

UPDATE: 3/11/2015 2:11 P.M. 

Cash Money has confirmed that Lil Wayne was not home at the time of the alleged shooting. Mack Maine has also confirmed Wayne is doing fine.

Police have informed reporters that a SWAT team plans to enter the 8-bedroom home shortly. Police are also speaking with the rapper’s entourage who are currently on the scene.

UPDATE: 3/11/2015 2:58 P.M. 

Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police confirmed that the reports of a shooting was actually a hoax, and according to WSVN, “there was no evidence of shots fired.”
