Jada Pinkett-Smith has been very vocal about her relationship with slain rapper-poet-actor Tupac Shakur and her appearance on Friday’s Arsenio was no different.
“Pac was probably one of the first male figures that I had in my life that saw the beauty and the talent and my intelligence, separated from sex. That’s something that a young girl usually gets from the is father; I didn’t have that. ‘Pac was the first one that it was about sex. It was about ‘You, you’re a beautiful woman, you’re talented, you’re strong, I respect you. And you are my girl. You’re gon’ sit right here, and I’ma protect you.’”

In 2012, she released pictures of the two from their high schools days and talked in depth about their relationship.

“Dear Tupac,

Love, Willow
