Legendary Hip-Hop hypeman Flavor Flav is probably known for his countless brushes with the law as much as he is for his contributions to Public Enemy. Flav was recently arrested again, but this time it was under crazy circumstances. Flavor Flav was hauled to jail for driving with 16 license suspensions. Here’s where it gets crazier. Flav was on his way to his mother’s funeral when he was arrested.
Flavor Flav, real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr., was pulled over in Hempstead, New York while driving a black Hyundai. Cops reportedly pulled him over for doing 79 miles per hour in a 55 zone. Upon running his information, the police discovered Flavor Flav had 16 license suspensions that resulted from a variety of unpaid tickets. Also, police found a small amount of weed in the vehicle.
Flav was handcuffed and taken to jail on the charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. The hypeman was booked and released without bail in time to make it to his mother’s funeral.
