Phaedra Parks is supposedly holding up just fine after her husband Apollo Nida was slapped with an eight-year prison sentence.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” attorney was not exactly standing by her man when he appeared in court yesterday. In fact, she didn’t show up for the hearing at all, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
HollywoodLife.com reports that Phaedra is worried about what life will be like for her two sons now that they will be growing up without their dad during some of their most formative years. However her “RHOA” bff Kandi Burruss said Phaedra is distracting herself by focusing on her businesses right now.
“She’s basically working. That’s how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work,” Kandi told HollywoodLife.com. “I know that she’s promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she’s not really trying to focus as much on what’s happening.”
Phaedra was due to get back on her grind anyway since she spent part of last week in Cancun celebrating Fantasia’s 30th birthday.
Not showing up for Apollo’s day in court could make it appear that their relationship is on the rocks. Phaedra’s husband, however, Apollo said she was looking after their sons.
He explained to 11 Alive News, “I don’t know. We have other issues. She had to go ahead and take care of our children.”
