A doctor at a nursing home used his alliance with the GOP to secure more of the medicine to administer to patients, sometimes without them knowing.

Taraji P. Henson is putting her time in quarantine to good use and created a mental health service for the Black community. Taraji announced the new initiative on Instagram on Wednesday, where she took note of the hardships and struggles Black communities are facing during this dangerous time of COVID-19.

Over the past few weeks, Rihanna’s become one of the biggest stars on the charitable frontlines fighting the coronavirus. Her Clara Lionel foundation donated $5 million to coronavirus relief as well as masks and ventilators and most recently she and Jay Z each made matching $1 million donations.

The Hot Spot today really encourages everyone to practice social distancing. BET announced a COVID-19 relief which will be hosted by Terrance J, Kelly Rowland, and Regina King.  It will have performances and proceeds will be collected in partnership with United Way on April 22.
