These Couples Brought Goal-Worthy Style To The NFL Honors

Just before Super Bowl LVIII, the National Football League held its annual awards presentation to celebrate the best in the American sport on February 8. Dubbed ‘NFL Honors,’ the event recognizes every play, every pass, and every tackle made by committed players in the league.

At the center of the sports ceremony are coveted awards presented to outstanding individuals across various categories. Among the most prestigious is the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, which recognizes the player who has significantly impacted their team’s success throughout the season. The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year and the newest Pro Football Hall of Fame Class inductees are also looked forward to each year.

Cameras spotted celebrity football fans such as Janelle Monae, Issa Rae, and Flava Flav in attendance. And the night was filled with surprising presentations, sports celebrity appearances, and, of course, goal-worthy style.

While we gagged over ‘fits from Issa, who wore a colorful suit from Casablanca, and Janelle, who turned heads in a couture mini dress from Tony Ward, the NFL players (and their plus ones) had our attention. Some of the sexiest in the league, these couples defined red carpet style. Dazzling at the event included Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and his fiance, Sharelle Rosado; Mike Tomlin and his wife, Kiya Tomlin; Tyrann Mathieu and his fiance, Sydni Paige Russell; and Terry McLaurin and his fiance, Caitlin Winfrey. The NFL couples complimented each other in their own way. Some chose to wear matching monochromatic black formal fits. Others rocked the same aesthetic, such as velvet, lighter colors, or cool eyewear. Both #couple and #couture goals, we loved seeing the variety of fits. Denver Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II and his wife, Michelle Surtain, are stunning on the Vegas carpet. Pat’s bold red suit is particularly eye-catching.

3. Kiya Tomlin and Mike Tomlin

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin matches his wife’s fly while arriving at the NFL Honors event. Both chose all-black looks, creating head-turning monochromatic moments. Kiya’s exaggerated leather fringe necklace is everything!

4. Andressa Barboza and Jonathan Jones

Get into these fits from Andressa Barboza (fiance) and New England Patriots star Jonathan Jones. While posing on the carpet, both play with black and white patterns giving a sophisticated, classic look.

Retired NFL safety Devin McCourty and his wife Michelle Powell ate at the 13th Annual NFL Honors. A mother of three, Michelle looks completely snatched in this black lace mini dress, while Devin wows in a shiny wine-colored suit.

Steelers running back Najee Harris attends the 13th annual NFL Honors with a gorgeous plus one on his arm. We love her stunning sequin off-the-shoulder gown and his vibe matching velvet blazer.

7. Keeta Vaccaro and Tyreek Hill

Keeta Vaccaro and Miami Dolphins player Tyreek Hill look fabulous on the NFL Honors red carpet. Keeta wore a white bandage-style dress with pearls, and Tyreek looked dapper in a fitted tux. The couple’s appearance comes amid controversy over filed (and unfiled) divorce papers.

8. Justin Jones and Kandace Jones

We love a well-coordinated, matching couple moment. And Justin Jones and his wife Kandace Jones give us just that. Justin rocks a light brick-colored suit with a pink patterned button-down shirt. Kandace elevates his style with a slinky pink satin dress and matching silver jewelry.
