Adam Yauch, MCA Of The Beastie Boys, Dies Of Cancer At 47
Adam Yauch, aka MCA of The Beastie Boys, has died. Globalgrind.com is reporting that the member of the legendary rap group succumbed to his battle with Cancer. He was 47 years old.

Yauch was a young bass player attending Bard College when he linked up with Adam “Ad Rock” Horovitz and Michael “Mike D” Diamond to form a band. After meeting production legend Rick Rubin they became the group that hip-hop fans have grown to know and love.
The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 but Yauch was not able to attend because of his illness. In the clip below ?uestlove of The Roots shared the impact The Beastie Boys had on hip-hop.
Public Enemy’s Chuck D also had some words of praise for The Beastie Boys during their induction:
