Black Hollywood Goes Glam on Cover of “Vanity Fair” Mag
After a super vanilla magazine cover in 2010, Vanity Fair has bumped up the melanin factor with actresses Adepero Oduye and Paula Patton for their March “Hollywood Issue.” Oduye, star of the critically acclaimed Pariah, is a star on the rise, particularly after Meryl Streep’s mention at the Golden Globes. Patton, who plays kick-ass spy Jane Carter opposite Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, is expanding the range (and color) of female action stars on the big screen.
