Rick Ross was arrested in Louisiana this past weekend. Police busted the rapper after the smell of marijuana was detected in his room at the Hilton in Shreveport. The police went to his door and supposedly saw about a gram of marijuana in plain sight. Ross was immediately taken into custody. The rapper was in town to perform at a club for a birthday bash event for a local deejay.
Ross was not the only high profile person arrested in Shreveport though. Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Peters was also arrested. The football player got into an altercation over refusing to turn down his music, after the police instructed him to do so. He was arrested and charged with loud music and disturbing the peace. He too was in town to be a part of the club bash. Both individuals have since been released. There is no word yet on exactly what kind of consequences Ross is facing.
