Will Another Black Model Make History As Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Cover Girl?
On Friday, Sports Illustrated revealed the 17 models who will be posing in its 2011 Swimsuit Issue. But which lady will land the magazine’s cover?
Jessica White and Damaris Lewis are the only two African-American models in the running this year.
Tyra Banks was, of course, the first black woman to grace the cover – she did so with Valerie Mazza in 1996, and then by herself in 1997. Beyonce received the honor in 2007.
The cover will be revealed tonight on “The Late Show With David Letterman.”
