Jamie Foxx is getting ready to welcome a new addition to his family, but he admits the news initially came with plenty of questions. The Oscar-winning actor, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp, recently shared that becoming a father again at 58 wasn’t something he immediately felt comfortable about.

Foxx revealed that when he first learned he was going to be a dad again, his age made him pause. While excited about the growing family, he wondered what starting over with a baby in his late fifties would be like.
Those concerns changed after an unexpected conversation with fellow Hollywood legend Al Pacino. Foxx recalled running into the veteran actor, who casually told him that he was also preparing to welcome another child. Hearing that Pacino was becoming a father again in his eighties quickly put Foxx’s own situation into perspective.
Laughing about the encounter, Foxx joked that he even asked Pacino if he was really ready to be back in the school drop-off line. Pacino’s simple response, confirming that he was, eased Foxx’s worries and helped him embrace the idea of starting this new chapter.

The baby will be Foxx’s third child. He is already the father of daughters Corinne, 32, and Anelise, 17. Over the years, Corinne has become much more than just his daughter. The pair have worked together on Beat Shazam for several seasons, where fans have watched their close relationship play out on screen.
Foxx spoke proudly about watching Corinne grow professionally over the years. What began as a hosting opportunity has evolved into a major leadership role behind the scenes. According to Foxx, she now oversees his production company, something he says fills him with pride. Watching her develop into a confident executive has been one of his greatest joys.
