Usher Gives Cherry To Sabrina Carpenter At Met Gala & Dad’s Not Amused
Seems like no matter what the occasion is, Usher is here for a great show, complete with his trusty bowl of cherries to feed to one lucky lady in the audience.
This time around, fellow Grammy-winning singer Sabrina Carpenter is the recipient of the sweet treat during Usher’s surprise performance at this year’s Met Gala.
The moment from the super-secretive event was revealed on Sabrina’s Instagram page, as she shared a photo carousel of her night. Of course, fans couldn’t help but to happily react to the photo. One person who seemingly wasn’t impressed, however, was Sabrina’s dad David.
At the end of the post, the “Espresso” songstress shared a text she received from her pops after the photo hit social media. His response: “? Weird”
Thankfully, Usher took no offense, writing in the comments, “Apologies Mr. Carpenter 
”
The R&B heartthrob was one of two surprise performers inside the Met, the other being Stevie Wonder. For his part, Usher ran through a few of his hits, including “U Don’t Have To Call” and “OMG.” Vogue also reported that Ush joined Mr. Wonder for a duet of “Another Star” before jetting off to London to close out his Past Present Future world tour.
