Quavo Says He Will Be the Greatest Rapper-Turned-Actor In History

Quavo is making it clear that he’s not just about the music. The rapper has been gradually building his acting career and believes he has what it takes to be one of the greatest crossover stars in the game. In a recent conversation with TMZ, Quavo was asked if he could top legends like Tupac Shakur, Will Smith, Queen Latifah, and Ice Cube. With confidence, he responded, “They can’t f— with me.”

That kind of confidence doesn’t come out of nowhere. Quavo has already appeared in seven films and five TV shows. He made a cameo in Netflix’s “Narcos: Mexico” and also showed up in FX’s “Atlanta” during a fan-favorite episode with his Migos bandmates, Offset and the late Takeoff.
More recently, Quavo has taken on leading roles. He starred in “High Rollers,” the sequel to 2024’s “Cash Out,” alongside John Travolta, Gina Gershon, and Lukas Haas. He also lent his voice to “Sneaks,” an animated comedy about talking sneakers. That film features an all-star cast including Anthony Mackie, Martin Lawrence, Chloe Bailey, Young Miko, and Mustard.

There’s more on the way, too. Quavo will appear in a new movie called “Takeover” with Billy Zane and is currently filming the third part of the “Cash Out” trilogy, reprising his role as Anton. With that kind of momentum, don’t be surprised if Ice Cube taps him for the next “Friday” film.

Even with all the acting work, Quavo hasn’t put the mic down. He dropped two singles this year, “Trappa Rappa” and “Legends” with Lil Baby. Rumor has it, a new solo album could be on the way, following his 2023 project “Rocket Power.” He’s also been experimenting with his sound, teaming up with Luke Bryan and Teddy Swims for a country-rap track called “Georgia Ways.”
