Lowe’s closing all stores for a day

On April 20, 2025, many stores in the South, including ALDI, Publix, Target, and more, will be closed for Easter Sunday to give employees paid time off to spend with family and friends.
Lowe’s, with all 1,751 stores, will also be closed to show appreciation to associates.
“Lowe’s stores will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 20th to show appreciation to Lowe’s associates for their dedication to serving our customers. This day off will give our associates the opportunity to spend some extra time with their loved ones,” said a spokesperson with the company.
While Easter Sunday is not a federal holiday, many families attend church services and enjoy meals at home, with some stores like Walmart and Kroger remaining open with adjusted hours.
This gesture allows families to celebrate the holiday together while giving employees a well-deserved break.
