NBA legend and TV personality and pitchman Shaquille O’Neal, 53, has been single since his marriage to Shaunie O’Neal broke up back in 2010. Although he’s publicly shared that the reality of divorce was hard, apparently he’s just fine living the life of a bachelor. Breakfast Club co-host Jess Hilarious had social media gagging when she said that she went to O’Neal’s house and there were “four white bitche” hanging out there.

“He got four white b-tches, big booties in there. Like, one is in the kitchen cleaning, the other one is in the basement,’ Jess said. “I don’t know if I’m gonna go back or not, but man, when I seen two of them—two of them was bad. The other ones, they were, they were, they were getting there, but it—I couldn’t believe it. I’m like, ‘OK, alright, Shaq, I see what you’re doing.’” When asked about it in a recent appearance on the It’s Giving podcast, O’Neal shared his perspective on honesty in romantic relationships, suggesting that complete transparency might not always be advisable. He said every woman is a “phone checker” and that sometimes it pays to “mind your business.”

O’Neal then told the host Sarah Fontenot that not telling the whole truth can protect a romantic partner’s feelings.​ “No, you not supposed to be all the way honest,” Shaq said.  “Let’s just say that we have a semi-open relationship and you call me. You want me to say, ‘I’m with this freak, I’ma try to hit it. I’ll call you back.’ That’s honest. Or, ‘Baby can I call you back, I’m with a friend.’” He said women need to stop checking men’s phones because inevitably they’ll be upset, even if there’s no expectation that the relationship is monogamous.  “You say you want honesty—if you can handle that, yeah,” he added. “But if you can’t handle it—sometimes you have to protect the feelings. That’s all I’m saying. I’m with a friend, that’s not a lie.” O’Neal says he wants to marry again, but says he’s “scared” because ‘ya’ll [women] are crazy. Ya’ll are f—- plumb crazy.” He said most divorces happen because people say ‘I didn’t know,’ referencing things that come up after the deed is done. He says to marry again, he’d have to know ‘all angles,’ of the woman he’s getting hitched to. O’Neal seemingly confirmed that he was ‘dating’ four white women, saying after the podcast interview that they’d left him after the publicity generated by Jess’ comments. “See what happens when yall be all in my business, thanks to yall they left, now im all alone again. #fourofthem #shaqlikeneyo #4tingz,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

While it’s hard to know when to take Shaq seriously, behind all the banter about relationships, he’s also been honest about the role he played in the end of his marriage. He told Fontenat that when a soundbite from his former wife went viral after she said she’s not sure she ever loved him, he agreed. “I wouldn’t have loved me either,” he told her. “It just showed me that as a man I was failing. A man has three jobs with a woman -protect, provide and love. And at that point in my life I failed her in all three areas. So I understood it.” He added, “I was an a—-. I was an idiot.
