Denzel Washington had a tense moment with autograph seekers outside the Museum of Modern Art on Wednesday night, where he was attending an event for longtime friend Samuel L. Jackson. Initially in high spirits, Washington stopped to greet fans and take photos, but as he tried to move inside, a group of autograph seekers became persistent. “I told you I’d see you when I get out,” Washington said firmly. “Which part of that don’t y’all understand?”

The incident surprised onlookers, as Washington, known for his calm demeanor, rarely engages in confrontations. However, he’s been known to address disrespect directly when necessary. Sources recall a similar instance back in 2003, when Washington reportedly confronted Sean “Diddy” Combs at a party after witnessing something that disturbed him. While the details remain vague, it’s noted that the party ended with Washington leaving in frustration.

Combs, now 54, recently faced serious legal issues, including charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Washington’s past words, “You don’t respect anyone,” seem prescient, adding intrigue to the pair’s 2003 confrontation.
